Our Voices. Your Tomorrow.

It’s hard to deny that we face severe and complex problems as a global community. Climate change, extreme poverty, and sustainable use of natural resources are just a few of these.

To address these issues, we need to equip our students, emerging leaders, and professionals with the best possible set of global problem-solving skills—the ones that come with international experience.

#GivingTuesday on December 1

Everyone knows Black Friday. Cyber Monday is gaining traction. But Giving Tuesday is the newest, and most exciting, addition to this holiday lineup.

This year for the third time, Cultural Vistas is delighted to participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

Join us in a movement that celebrates and supports philanthropy by making your gift to Cultural Vistas this Tuesday, December 1! We look forward to hearing from you.

Inspiring Change through Global Exchange

A nonprofit exchange organization, Cultural Vistas offers international professional experiences that create more informed, skilled, and engaged citizens. More than 20 programs empower people to drive positive change in themselves, their organizations, and society.

Our participants—more than 5,700 students, emerging leaders, professionals annually—work across national borders to solve shared challenges, and their powerful commitment and fresh insight never fail to surprise us.

If you’re on our website, you know how vital this work is. This is why we are asking you for your support during the Our Voices. Your Tomorrow. campaign. This holiday season, please make a tax-deductible, charitable donation to Cultural Vistas.

We Want You to Meet Someone

Whether you are new to Cultural Vistas, or just getting to know us, we want to introduce you to five remarkable individuals. Each of them is an alumnus or alumna of a Cultural Vistas program.

Together, these leaders tell a powerful story about the power of exchange and citizen diplomacy in driving meaningful social progress.

They also bear witness to Cultural Vistas’ impact as a mission-driven nonprofit whose exchange programs span the globe, serving Americans going overseas for the first time, as well as international visitors, and fostering life-changing experiences.

You’ll be impressed:

  • Jules Guiang left his native Philippines for the first time this spring to travel to Cambodia and Washington, D.C. to learn how to educate young people about environmental issues. A television host in Manila and vocal advocate for social reform, he participated in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative.
  • Susana Guzman, a Cultural Vistas Fellow from Miami, Florida, launched a new project called Playing for Change during her summer internship in Buenos Aires.
  • Misato Oi of Kyoto participated in the 2013-2014 TOMODACHI MetLife Women’s Leadership Program in the U.S. She went on to represent her home country at the 2014 G(irls) 20 Summit and encourage fellow female Japanese youth to push past gender stereotypes on a 5-city speaking tour across Japan.
  • Moses Semwayo, inspired by what he learned during the International Visitor Leadership Program in the United States, established a small network of sewing businesses to empower local women in Mutare, Zimbabwe.
  • Cultural Vistas Fellow Jonathon VanBrunt after studying German for years, left a job as a Chick-fil-A manager in Atlanta to live abroad for the first time. His experience interning at a technology start-up in Berlin, Orderbird, changed his life.
