Cultural Vistas Announces Incoming Class of Robert Bosch Foundation Fellows
Over 480 Americans have advanced their careers in Germany since 1984's inaugural class
NEW YORK – Cultural Vistas is proud to welcome 19 accomplished professionals from across the United States as members of the 29th class of Robert Bosch Foundation Fellows.
The program, which is fully funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung Foundation, has afforded more than 480 Americans the unique opportunity to advance their careers abroad through direct experience in the political, economic and cultural environment of Germany and the European Union.
The 2012-2013 Bosch Fellows bring together a wide range of experience and focus areas, encompassing everything from climate change and sustainable development to foreign affairs journalism; yet share a collective passion to gain new knowledge, exchange ideas, and strengthen their expertise overseas. This year's class was selected this past January from an applicant pool consisting of more than 500 eligible candidates.
The group recently embarked for Germany where they will take part in intensive language training in advance of two high-level work assignments across the German public and private sectors. The fellows will also participate in three professional seminars held across Europe, which provide a forum to meet and discuss current issues facing Germany and the EU with key decision makers.
Cultural Vistas has facilitated professional exchange programs and services for visitors coming to the United States, and Americans seeking overseas experiential learning opportunities since 1950. It acts as the U.S. representative of the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program and has administered the program since its inception in 1984.
